Strawberries Sponge Cake

“Oh my… This cake couldn’t be simpler…” You know how it is, you find a recipe and it looks really easy, or so they say, just to find out that there is more to that… And it’s not as simple as it seems.

For me, this strawberry shortcake is extremely simple, mainly because I make it all the time and gained a certain level of competence. You know, those manual skills you’ve picked up by just doing “whatever you’re doing” over and over again!

However, I really think this is a simple cake, as it should be: few ingredients, easy to to prep and cook as fast as possible.

In order to achieve a good result, just follow these two recipes:

1. The first is the basic recipe for a plant-based sponge cake taken from Bûche de Noël, or the Holidays Yule Log . It’s a bit early for Christmas but can be easily adapted for the season.
